I feel like I have been completely oblivious, and for the first time in two weeks I am finally seeing the light, or in this case a pair of beautifully crafted, snake print trousers with a brocade-inspired finish. The cause of this hazy state? Well it is quite simple, I have been so busy gushing over some of my favorite designer collections, that I completely missed the brilliance of an up-and-coming one (shame on me). However, I am here to redeem myself and give you a taste of what Anthony Vaccarello has been cooking up this past few months.
If many of you were like me, and don't know who Anthony Vaccarello is, then it is time that you were formally introduced to this Belgian designer. With the ability to make sexy, yet empowering clothes for women, Vaccarello has created quite the following over the few short years that he has been developing his own label. Although the collection reminds me of a subdued version of Christophe Decarnins' first show at Balmain, Vacarello managed to create pieces that women actually want to wear. With high slits, bodycon skirts that were balanced perfectly with loose fitting blouses, and fabrics that moved effortlessly with the wearer, Vaccarello proved that being sexy can be as effortless and comfortable as you want it to be...

These high-res images make such a huge difference, the detailing, draping and sexy styles are so much more clearly visible, I was very impressed by Anthony's collection, the fit of the skirts were ultra sexy! And those flowing satin pants - wow!
ReplyDeletethese pieces are stunning. i like how the wrapped/drapey pieces look.
ReplyDeleteLove the drapey feel of the whole collection, the second dress reminds me a lot of the dress the Little Mermaid (Ariel) wore when she first got ashore and had a legs and Prince Eric was just around the corner! Fav, disney movie so it just make me love the dress even more, I like the makeshift feel of the dress!
