Trend Alert.Seeing Stripes

With the first day of spring a little over a week away, I decided it was time to start sharing some of my favorite trends, and must-have pieces, for the upcoming season.
 First on my list? 
Bold stripes, of course...

When I first saw this trend, I had an immediate love-hate relationship with the idea. On one hand, Olivier Rousteing created an entire collection based around the concept that bold black and white stripes can be quite chic, but even with the deep appreciation that I have for all things Balmain, I couldn't quite get the idea of being locked away for some fashion crime out of my head. However, in the world of fashion, styling makes all the difference, and breaking up the heaviness of the stripes with a resort-inspired print seemed to be just what I needed to put those thoughts of uneasiness to rest. So, now if I happen to get locked away for donning this pair of striped denim around town, I will at least be one fashionable jailbird while doing so.

  14. I've been looking for a perfect pair of black and white striped jeans and these are most definitely a perfect fit!
    I used to hate the trend, than changed my mind and bought a blouse with vertical b&w stripes, than changed it back and sold it :-P
    I guess the striped pants are more my thing!
    The combination with yellow is very interesting, I'm very sure I wouldn't have picked this combination but I absolutely love it!
