I am not sure if it is possible to fall so madly in love with a single article of clothing, but when a talented designer sends you a piece that is so beautifully constructed that others refer to it as a "work of art" (this came straight from your reader comments in this entry), it is hard to not fall completely head over heels...
When I first got my hands on this chic little number, I had thought of so many ways I could style it. However, I soon realized that a piece of this magnitude deserves a blank canvas, so to speak, so it can truly shine.

ReplyDeleteThat little bit of skin showing beneath the jacket is brilliant. There's something about that naturalness that pairs so evocatively with the luxuriousness of the suede and leather and bright colors that really brings out its best.
I think you're completely right. Overwhelming the ensemble with tons of colors and textures would devalue the blazer.
