Maybe it is my appreciation for the unexpected, but I simply can't get enough of the street style shots that Phil Oh captured at Milan Fashion Week. Although New York is more my style, with its laid back eccentricity, and London is always very sophisticated in nature, there is something about Milan that makes style mavens want to take it up a notch.
There was not only bold pattern mixing involved in the week's festivities, there was also a bevy of style mavens who played with opposing fashion genres- that veiled toboggan was a perfect mix of the grunge movement that was so popular in the nineties, and the femininity of the fifties. We also saw a continuation of the play on colors and color blocking, and style mavens even used their "wet weather" gear as fashionable accessories...
With all the eye-catching footwear, bags and jewelry on hand, Milan reminds us that fashion should, in fact, be fun.
