Joseph Altuzarra proved that one doesn't need all the flash, print, or even a bold color palette to make a stunning collection for fall. The designer took it back to basics and proved that at the end of the day construction and innovative design is all one needs to make a statement.
Although leather and fur aren't exactly new territory when it comes to fall fashion, the designer had editors and industry insiders drooling when he infused an urban vibe by incorporating metal buttons, rivets, and zippers into his silhouettes. However, even the hardware couldn't disguise that Altuzarra knows the female form, and exactly how to dress it as well. Skirts were kept at longer lengths, but still hugged the curves of the wearer, and shoulders were exaggerated to lend more symmetry to an hourglass shape.
