The Alternative

If it were up to me, I would don leather trousers on a daily basis. However, there are many instances in which this would not only be inappropriate (although most days I feel the urge to say, "naysayers be damned"), but there is a comfort aspect that comes into play as well.

My resolution to this fashion-related dilemma?

Waxed denim. 

Although the trend has been rocked by style icons such as Taylor Tomasi Hill, and still holds a strong presence on many street style blogs, some are still contemplating whether this is a trend that they should invest in or leave to those fashion immortals who seem to be able to pull of any trend that is thrown their way. Well, I am here to show you that not only can this piece be a chic and comfortable alternative to leather pants, but it can in fact be a staple that you can, and should,  incorporate into your wardrobe as well. This pair of Hudson waxed denim paired nicely with my favorite new piece of outerwear and the color blocked blouse that I can't seem to take off lately. However, they would also be just as chic if paired with flats and an oversized sweater for a more casual daytime look...

You see, with a piece like this, the possibilities just seem to be quite endless.
